Xtreme Foamworx brings dreams to life with 10
CONTRIBUTED CONTENT —From 30-foot-tall stacked pumpkin towers to theatrical-themed props, Xtreme Foamworx is providing custom foam fabrication that turns dreams into reality.
“If you can dream it, we can make it,” Xtreme Foamworx owner and founder Will Laird said.
Xtreme Foamworx provides innovative custom foam fabrication. Services include foam packaging, custom foam lettering and signage, custom-themed projects, architectural shapes and molds, 3D foam props, trade show booths and many other foam fabrication methods to bring ideas and concepts to life.
Laird said that over the 11 years he’s been in the foam industry, the best part has been watching napkin drawings and phone calls turn ideas into real-life creations. One of his favorite projects was creating a collection of 10 10-foot-tall balloon animals with 3D lettering in less than five weeks for a Paparazzi jewelry convention.
“We can redefine creativity,” he added. “We can pretty much make anything you can dream up if your budget matches your dream.”
Work by Xtreme Foamworx can be seen across Washington County, including the desert room and dinosaur room at the St. George Children’s Museum, the Washington County administration building, theatrical sets at the Tuacahn amphitheater, Brooks the Bison for Utah Tech University and a large donut in front of Pinkbox Doughnuts.
With a variety of foam densities, they’re able to make everything from hanging aquarium dolphins to large-scale climbing structures for kids. But they don’t stop at the fabrication. They also specialize in finishing touches like hard coating and finishing, painting and assisting with insulation.
“You take someone’s dream of making something completely unique and you bring it to life,” Laird said. “You get to see them see their dream come to reality. And that’s super rewarding for us.”
At Xtreme Foamworx, foam fabrication is done with hot wire machines, allowing the creation of many custom shapes and dimensions. They’re able to expand capabilities on a per-project basis by using CNC Router machines. With their equipment and resources, they ensure the satisfaction of the end result.
Xtreme Foamworx uses American-based manufacturing, which equals quick turnaround times to meet commercial and residential needs.
“My favorite thing about the business as a whole is that not every day is the same,” Laird said. “One day we could be working on 10,000 pieces of packaging foam and the next day we’re building a 30-foot tall pumpkin tower. It makes it so fun to come to work every day.”
Whether big or small, contemporary or organic, Xtreme Foamworx can build a custom solution for your ideas. Many products can help with social media marketing, branding and consumer interaction.
Originally from Wyoming, Laird said he and his family have been enjoying Southern Utah for the last six years. He expressed appreciation for both the community and local businesses for their support, their creative ideas and making life great in Washington County.
“This is a great community that we’re in and love to be in,” he said. “The fact that we haven’t had to shovel snow in the last six years we’ve been here, that’s been nice. That’s the cherry on top of a great place to be.”
